AED (Automatic External Difbrillator)
This course teaches:
This segment teaches you what an AED is and what it does when used on a victim of sudden cardiac arrest.
First Aid
This course teaches:
How to minimize the effects of shock
How to treat sudden illness, including poisonings and heat and cold emergencies
First aid for: cuts, scrapes, burns, bleeding, and injuries to bones, muscles, and joints, such as sprains and strains
How to provide basic care until advanced medical personnel arrive and take over
Lifeguard Training

Complete skills instruction, including equipment-based rescues, spinal injury management, post-rescue care, and more. All incorporating the most current principles of aquatic safety.
First aid and CPR training, teaching your staff professional rescuer skills that will enable them to respond to life-threatening emergencies in any work enviroment.

The American Red Cross provides instruction from Whales Tales Level 1 through Level 7. Contact the Carpenter Center for further information and scheduled time of classes.
All of our Red Cross classes, with the exception of the Aquatics training, can be scheduled through the Logan County Red Cross office located at 804 Hicks Street, Russellville, KY or by calling our office at 270-726-6038.
